Art - Zoe did three pieces. She scribbled with chalk with her eyes closed, first with her right hand, then her left hand and then both hands at the same time. Then she looked at each piece to find a picture in the scribbles, then she outlined the pictures so we could see them. She named the pieces and described them.

Wow, that's a productive day.
ReplyDeleteThe art sounds interesting...is that an art technique you guys read about or another flash of creativity?
ReplyDeleteMariposa - we got all that done before lunch. But we wake up early.
ReplyDeleteAly - I read about it in some research I am doing for my novel. This technique is shows the student artist that art is easy to make, you can find your personal meaning in it and describe it to others. Basically it's one way to help people who get uptight about making art. Zoe has some perfectionist issues with art. She wants to draw like a professional artist. So, exercises like this help her see that it is okay to be messy.
Ha ... I love the description of time "worrying and impending over us." In my world, that's colloquially known as "Monday." :)
